I'm preparing to write the feature article for the January edition of our monthly custodial newsletter, As The Toilet Turns. I'm going to probe the subject of sustainability. I hear a lot more about it now than in years past. I've looked up the definition and talked to various vendors and people about it. The term is beginning to solidify in our everyday speech, but it still is not crystal clear.
What do you think? What have you learned about sustainability? How would you define the term? Is it important? I'd love to get some feedback that I could use to build my article on in January. Having a clearer understanding of new concepts and ideas goes a long way in integrating it into our daily lives. So, throw me some ideas, some input, some suggestions! I'm ready to write.
Educating custodians, school staff, students, parents and the public on the duties, responsibilities and needs of a school facility. Working to make the custodial department more understandable and hoping to engage the support and help of all who use the campus. Sharing information on several cleaning-related, health and custodial topics to enlighten readers and requesting input from all who peruse this blog.

Wikipedia is always a good start. Friedman's Hot, Flat, and Crowded is a great book as is his website where he often discusses this topic. http://www.thomaslfriedman.com/
