It's Friday. It's Dark. It's "The Game".

October 31st! What's so special and daunting about that day? It's Halloween? It's Friday? It's the end of October? No. It's Homecoming, the biggest game of this year. And for our crew, the biggest cleanup of the year. Because the crowd is so big and the event so special, the increase in building usage and garbage generated increases exponentially. How big is it?

Here's an idea. On a regular game night, cleanup is accomplished by our three night custodians and one game sub working for two hours. On the night of Homecoming, cleanup up is performed by the three night custodians, a four hour roving custodian, a four hour game sub and an eight hour substitute custodian. The garbage on the night of Homecoming fills the four-wheel drive Mule we use approximately four to five times compared to the normal one time during a regular game. So, yes, this is the biggest game and cleaning night of the year.

If you attend this event this year, have fun, support your favorite team (Tahoma Bears I'm sure) and enjoy time with family and friends. And we'd really, really, love it if you'd take just a few seconds to clean up after yourselves to help out our crew and keep our school clean and shiny!

We wish the best for the team Friday night! Have fun and be safe!
