Are You Ready for the Change?
The beginning of big changes to chemicals, labeling and manufacturing are coming shortly. The first phase is due by December 1, 2013. The formally known MSDS sheets will now be known as SDS sheets and major changes in unified labeling of chemical products under specific categories will soon go into effect worldwide. The United Nations and OSHA are behind much of this change along with participating countries. The ultimate goal is to create a safer environment for workers, distributors and manufacturers around the world when it comes to chemical use. The link below will provide more information on these changes. Also check out the Custodial/Maintenance Newsletter Summer 2013 Edition that discussed this in detail as well.
