Do You Use the Burn Test?


How do you know what type of material your carpets are constructed from? What is the right product to clean them with? One quick way to determine this is the "burn test". 

The "burn test" allows you to observe and smell what carpet fibers look and smell like when they burn. These are huge indicators as to what type of material they are constructed from. You can determine if the fibers are nylon, polypropylene, wool, rayon, olefin or some other substance. It's quick and easy and can save you some major headaches that could result from using the wrong cleaning product!
