Monitoring outbreaks of the flu or any other disease is always a daunting task. Tracking the mode of transmission among hundreds if not thousands of people is next to impossible. Now researchers at Penn State University have developed an interesting approach to tracking and finding where diseases come from and how they are transmitted. The article is a bit technical, but interesting.
