Our poll which asked how much it cost for floor finish each summer just closed. 77% said they thought it cost about $2500. 11% said $1000 and 11% said $750. The correct answer is $2500. Keep in mind that does not include the cost of floor finish for the gym and multipurpose room. You need to add another $1500 or so for that. These figures also do not reflect the cost of equipment, pads, mops, buckets, handles, scrapers and all the other items used to prep and lay these finishes. Just keeping the floors clean and shiny is very costly. We do everything we can to preserve the finish throughout the year by such things as regular cleaning, spotting, buffing and high-speed burnishing. Come this summer, we'll start it all again. By September it will shine and sparkle for another school year!
