And Now There Is MERS

You've heard of MRSA. You've heard of SARS. But have you heard of MERS? MERS is another new virus emerging from the Middle East which was discovered in 2012. It stands for Middle East Respiratory Syndrome. Like SARS, it affects the respiratory system of humans and in some cases is fatal. Currently there's no specific treatment, no cure and no vaccine to fight it off. It's another in a line of modern ailments that has health agencies like WHO concerned and worried about what the next few years will bring.
