The H1N1 virus, also known as the Swine Flu virus, that has been plaguing the world has now been classified as a pandemic. (Pandemic comes from the Greek word pandemos which means "pertaining to all people." A pandemic is defined as a "Medicine Epidemic over a wide geographic area and affecting a large proportion of the population," according to dictionary.com.) Since this is the case, does that mean that heroic cleaning efforts are now necessary? Not at all. Since the virus has not changed, the cleaning that has been keeping this virus at bay will work fine.
