Classroom 10. The term is clearer. The concept understandable. The reason sensible. After today's district sponsored training day, I have a better grasp of what Classroom 10 is all about. I truly appreciated the district making a strong effort to explain this 21st century learning to not just teachers and administrators, but to all classified employees. Although we may not be as close to the students in the realm of teaching, we do have interaction with them, often for years as compared to a few semesters of time. Thus, understanding the Classroom 10 movement enables us to explain to others what it is and to be part of it ourselves.
I personally enjoyed Mike Maryanski's interest in all employees and his dedication to the students in the district. His explanations and reasons for moving into Classroom 10 teaching clarified many questions. I also enjoyed the discussion that Bruce Zahradnik and Lori Cloud presented to us on how this 21st century teaching will affect everyone.
Being included along with certificated staff today made me feel more like a team instead of separate entities under the same roof. I respect all the jobs various individuals have within the district and seeing all of us working together makes for a smoother and better place to work.
A big thanks to the district and their efforts to meld the many groups of people together into one harmonious workforce. I am excited to see how Classroom 10 instruction will grow and prosper in the community and in the minds of our young ones in the years to come.
Thank You Tahoma!

So then I guess you know that Classroom 10 is about making sure the students are highly engaged in their own education and that they are working harder than the teacher. For you, that means they will be cleaning up after themselves while you watch them work:-)Ya gotta luv this concept.
