How many other custodians out there feel that the two worst things a school can allow are gum and glitter? I don't know how many times I have to clean up gum on a hard floor, which isn't too bad, or out of a carpet, which takes much more work. And sadly, the gum on the outside sidewalks and concrete areas cannot be remove easily if at all. All you see is a freckled walkway that is very unsightly!
Glitter is the worst. That stuff gets into everything. Even after cleaning and cleaning the stuff still gets tracked all over the building. I find glitter weeks after it's been used in areas miles from where it started. Shiny, sparkly little stars "glittering" everywhere you go.
If a custodian could ban something, I'm sure most would agree that it would be glitter and gum! How do you feel?
