Once again I must give our custodial crew kudos for an excellent job this summer! They are a great crew to work with and they are dependable, hard-working, meticulous and determined. And our student helper was awesome for a second year again! We hope she can return next year, but time and schooling for her with determine her schedule.
As they plugged along during the summer they accomplished the following:
1. Cleaned all classrooms, offices, rooms and other areas from top to bottom
2. Cleaned all carpets
3. Stripped all the floors in the 100 building and the 400/500 hallway and scrubbed all other floors throughout the building and then waxed them all
4. Painted several areas of the building including doing repairs on walls and corners
5. Did all maintenance as requested by teachers, normal yearly maintenance and other maintenance as discovered during cleaning
6. Cleaned all windows in and out
7. Removed all surplus
8. Accepted deliveries and delivered items to areas of the building as needed
9. Assembled furnishings as necessary and delivered to classrooms
10. Everything else
The building is large and in about eight weeks this was all accomplished. Since students, teachers, administrators, parents, coaches, paras and others begin to return next week, it is always imperative that we have almost everything done by August 15 each year. Again, the crew is awesome and did fantastic, as usual!!
As we creep toward the first day of school on September 3, we will finish up projects here and there and get back into the "school" swing of things for another year of educating students.
We also thank you all for your support of our team. We couldn't accomplish what we do without your help. Welcome back!
