Unwanted Tenacity and Longevity
In most instances tenacity and longevity are desired qualities. But when it comes to bacteria that's hardly the case. Imagine bacteria hanging around in a hospital's water system since the year I graduated, 1982! That's over 30 years ago. Believe it or not, despite cleanings, chemicals, hot-water flushes and other advanced removal techniques, the bacteria that causes Legionnaire's disease is still hanging on. Read this article to get the details. Impressive, but undesirable.
