A custodian takes care of a building whether it be cleaning, maintenance, scheduling or otherwise. And it happens everywhere. Even in times of disaster, custodians are often in the forefront of help and direction as public buildings are used as shelters. The following two articles will emphasize these two aspects of custodial work.
The first article deals with Hurricane Sandy and the tireless efforts of one custodian in a high school that was used as a shelter. See what you think of his selfless efforts to help others.

The second article gives a brief overview of the day in the life of a high school custodian. You'll get a tiny taste of what goes on throughout the day. Contrary to many beliefs, the work of a custodian is normally non-stop all day long. See what you think of this man's dedication and care of the high school he works in.
