Cleaning and Technology - Friend or Foe?

Do you think that technology and cleaning go together? Do they seem like they are separated by a huge chasm or the best of friends? How can they cooperate together for the good of all?

Cleaning is cleaning, at least to a point. But consider all the things that make cleaning more than just cleaning. New chemicals and products that enhance and speed up the cleaning process. Containers and machines that use the latest innovations in computer controlled devices. Dispensing systems, pre-mixed pumps for chemicals, interactive information online, quick and easy access to ordering via the Internet, fax machines for relaying orders and information, quick and easy access to MSDS sheets, e-mail for communicating problems or questions to professionals and colleagues, blogs with interesting information and forums for discussion, a continuing advancement toward greener cleaning through research and development and the list goes on.

In today's quick-paced world, staying on top of the latest and best products and machines means a better use of time, man-power and money. With schools being used more often for longer hours, our cleaning time is slowly being eroded away forcing us to create more efficient and ingenious ways to clean these institutions of learning.

What do you think? How would you say technology and cleaning go together? What advancements have you seen? Where could things improve? What do you see happening in the next five to ten years? Is it beneficial? Detrimental? The same? What are your thoughts?

Technology is not going away. Share your opinion or idea today.
