Burnishing Brings Out the Brightness

The question in our last poll asked about burnishing floors and the purpose for doing so. 100% of the answers were correct in stating that burnishing helps "snap" the luster and shine of the floor back to a brilliant, shiny appearance.

Burnishing is a great way to keep your floors looking good, making them easier to sweep and giving them a clean, well-kept appearance between scrubbing and re-coating with floor finish. Burnishing can be done on a regular basis to accomplish this. In a school environment, burnishing on breaks helps maintain the floors between the big summer cleanings when all floors are cleaned and re-finished.

I burning the main hallway at a primary School in WA every month - previous head custodian didn't. Sure does make a difference in how much brighter the inside of the building looks. Plus, parents and visitors always comment on how the floor looks

Guess those buffing/burnishing skills I learned in the Navy (while waiting for class to start up) paid off!
