How About A Nice Ice Cold Drink of Toilet Water?

After using the restroom, it's normal practice to flush the toilet and watch the water go down the drain to be processed at a waste water plant. After being cleaned and purified, the water is released back into rivers. No big deal.

However, with the changes due to global warming, more and more areas are beginning to run low or even out of clean drinking water. What can be done? Instead of flushing toilet water, sinks, bathtubs and other waste water down the drain and into rivers, why not process it for reuse as drinking water? That's exactly what some cities have done. The new leader in this is Wichita Falls, Texas. Up to half of their waste water will be purified and sent back to the tap in homes.

Although this may sound gross, it's actually very clean and it is another way of reusing and recycling our resources. Here's some more in-depth information on this topic.

What do you think? Would you drink this water?
