It's amazing what you can learn from scientific research. For good or for bad, science can open our eyes to things we normally take for granted.
Take for example the common household sponge. You wouldn't think much of it. You use it to wipe counters, dishes and other things. You set it aside and it dries out and then you use it again. And typically, since you're using it in soapy water you don't really think about what might be lurking in that sponge. Well, scientific studies have found out some interesting things.
