Our ongoing poll as to whether or not you'd like to be a custodian has closed. On this poll, only two people responded, both with a "no". It would be interesting to get feedback as to why the answer was no.
Our new poll poses the question "Do custodians feel like they are part of the school staff?" Share your thoughts or if you are a custodian share your feelings. At Tahoma High School the custodial staff are treated with respect and made to feel that they are part of the "team". I feel that we are not looked down on as happens in so many settings. The staff are great to work with and we are proud to be a part of the "team" in providing a clean and safe enviroment for our students to learn in. Our educators are the greatest and should be commended for their tireless efforts in giving our students what they deserve, "THE BEST." Thanks again for making us feel that we are an important part of the "team."
I voted yes as to why custodians should feel a part of the school and the reason for my vote is my grandpa was a custodian and there were many kids who knew him and were also scared by him. He was well known in the community because of his work at the school. Plus I feel the work that you do is a big part to make the school run with such organization and cleanliness... Your work is an assett to the Team

I don't believe people would like to be custodians because they aren't respected like other memebers of the staff. Cleaning up after high schoolers would be hard because they are constantly making your job harder. I guess they create your job... In all honestly I simply wouldn't have the patience to do it. So I salute you!
